U.S. SUBMARINE LOST
Recd. 7 p.m. Washington, June 26. The Navy Department announced the loss ot submarine Rl2 while training off the east coast recently, probably as a result of an accident. Of the complement of 28 some were saved. The submarine was one of the Navy’s oldest and smallest, being commissioned in 1919. It had a displacement of 530 tons.
