N.Z.E.F. ASSOCIATION’S HEADQI ARTERS. (P.A.> Auckland, May 20. j Part of the premises occupied by the 2nd. N.Z.E.F. Association in the city on the second floor of Queen’s Arcade was destroyed by fire in the early hours this morning. The furnishings, including a radio and piano were damaged beyond repair, and the floor and celling extensively: damaged. Four brigades fought the blaze and

quickly prevented its spread. Stocks in the shops on the ground and lirst floor of the building were slightly damaged by water. The brigade finished the task with only a few thousand gallons of water, which had to be economised because of the shortage.
