Are Sin, Disease, and Death Real? was the subject of the lesson-sermon in all Churches of Christ, Scientist, throughout the world on Sunday, April 11. The Golden Text was Psalms 67:1, 2, “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; that they may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations.” Among the citations which comprised the lessonsermon were the following from the Bible: ‘ Art thou he that should come ; or look we for another? Then Jesus answering said unto them, Go your way and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the cieao are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached, and blessed is he, wnosoever shall not be offended in me." (Luke 7:19, 22 23). Also the following passages from the Christian Science textbook “Science and Healtn with Key to the Scriptures” by Mary Baker Eddy, “If sin, sickness, and death are as real as Lite, Truth and Love, then they must all be from the same source; God must be their author. Now Jesus I came to destroy sin, sickness, and death; ye< the Scriptures aver, ‘1 am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.’ Is it possible, then, to believe that the evils wh:cn Jesus lived to destroy are real or the offspring of the divine will?"
