DEATH IN HOSPITAL
SIXTH KOITERANGI VICTIM (P.A.) Greymouth, March 18. George Saukville Ridley, aged 54, agricultural inspector in the Education Department, the sixth and only surviving victim of the Koiterangi shootings by Stanley Graham in October, 1941, died at 4.30 p.m. to-day in the Hokitika Hospital He leaves a wife, one daughter, and one son, Lieutenant Ridley, who is serving overseas. Except for five weeks in Christchurch last Christmas, Mr. Ridley had been in hospital since the shootings. In the opinion of Dr. R. F. Aitken, medical superintendent, his death was indirectly due to his wounds. Mr. Ridley was able to get about and was progressing well till five weeks ago when he relapsed.
