MAJESTIC THEATRE
“Underground,” a powerful and exciting drama of the underground movement which is leading the lign for freedom in the oppressed nations of the world, screens at the Majestic to-day. News of such activity has been carefully suppressed, but gradually word is coming to America that oppressed people in the world to-day are not taking their lot lying down. Such comentators as Eric Sevareid have affirmed that widespread sabotage and general revolutionary activity are developing in momentum in to-day's dictatorships. The film tells of a young soldier (Jeffrey Lynn) sincerely totalitarian in his views until he sees the real inner workings of the dictatorship and joins the light for freedom. His brother, talented and handsome (Philip Dorn) is an underground leader. Kaaren Verne, fresh and promising screen newcomer, portrays a night club entertainer active in the movement. And Mona Maris, who scored in “Flight From Destiny," has an opportunity to further display her ability In the role of an underground agent.
