RECRUITING FOR DE GAULLE AND GIRAUD New York, March 15. A recruiting agreement under which nehuci Giraudists nor de Gaulbis would perm.l enlistments from ?he armed ‘orces of the other without mutual jonsent will be one purpose of the meeting in Algiers soon net\veen General Giraud and General Catroux, representing General de Gaulle. Reporting this the New York Times Washington correspondent says the agreement would be designed to so.Ve problems which had arisen in Nev. York, where seamen from the battleship Richelieu and other French ships had deserted to join General de Gaulle's forces, and also in Britain, •where vessels from North Africa had docked. Some of general de Gaulle’s followers believe that General Giraud should remove pro-Vichy naval otlicers, whose opinions are reported to have offended pro-Allied seamen.
