HUNTERVILLE TOWN BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING HELD (0.C.) Marton, March 16. The usual monthly meeting of the Hunterville Town Board was held on Monday, March 15. Present: Messrs. R. A. Gordon (chair), J. Klue, J. Dickie, R. Dukeson, E. H. Sutton, E. W. Donovan and E. J. Hurley (town clerk). A letter was received from the Hunterville School Committee thanking the board for the use of the Town Hall for the breaking-up ceremony. It. was proposed that the Town Board co-operate with the Rangitikei County Council in connection with the collection of waste paper, rubber, etc. A small committee, consisting of Commissioners Dukeson, Klue and Donovan, was elected to arrange a depot for same.

A letter from J r. Mclntyre regarding the extending of a fence line on his property was left in the hands of the clerk to deal with.

The foreman reported that general maintenance work had been carried out during the month, which included grass-cutting, repair work, etc. Three sections belonging to the Town Board are to be leased by tender for a term of five years.

Tenders are to be called for the position of caretaker for the Town Hall at the expiry of the present caretaker's term.

An estimate of the cost of a public convenience is to be submitted to the next meeting of the board. The Works Committee were authorised to obtain an estimate for same.
