DANCE AT WAVERLEY

COMPLIMENTARY FUNCTION. (0.C.) Waverley, March 15. On Thursday evening tne Waverley Town Hall was crowded with a large gathering of residents to do honour to Lieut. M. Dickie, Sgt. A. Sands, Corp. B. Johnston, L/Cpl. A. Fairweather, Pte. L. Wishnowski, Leading-Aircraft-man F. Symes. During the evening Mr. E. C. DalUson expressed his pleasure at seeing so many present and called upon Mr. F. J. Bilton to make the customary presentation of a wallet on behalf of the Waverley Citizens’ Committee. The recipients suitably replied. Reference was made to the D.F.C. recently won by Flying-Officer Basil Gray, of Waverley. Supper was served by the Evening Sewing Circle members and the dance music was supplied by Messrs. Rodgers and Carey.
