FOUR AXIS VESSELS SCUTTLED London-, March 11, The Axis is known to have lost 25,000 tons of shipipng in an extraordinary scuttling incident at Goa, the Portuguese colony on the west coast of India. Three of the ships were German and one Italian, two. being 7000 tons, one of 6000 tons, and the Italian vessel ol 5000 tons. The crews quarrelled over a plan to make a dash to Singapore, and finally scuttled their vessels. The Portuguese authorities are now reported to have taken the officers and crews into custody.
