BEVERIDGE PLAN IN BRITAIN Recd. 6 p.m. Rugby, March 11. About 50 Conservative members of the House of Commons have placed their names to the following motion which was tabled in the House last evening:—“That this House, while welcomin'’ the Governments acceptance of many proposals of the Beveridge report, urges the Government to appoint a Minister of Social Security, who, in consultation witn the department concerned, shall coordinate and expedite the work ot preparing the necessary legislation and shall consider further those proposals of the report which so far have not been accepted by the Government." —8.0.W.
