MACDUFFS, LTD., PROFIT.
The acounta of Macduffs, Limited, for the year December 31 show a net profit of £35,709, compared yith £32,844 in the previous year and £39,202 in 1940. With £2641 brought forward, there was £38,350 available. The interim preference dividend for the period ended March 31, 1940, absorbed £3780, increased tax provision on 1941 profit was £3513, and on 1942 profit taxation was £26,220, leaving £4837. As previously announced the directors propose a final dividend of 3 per cent, off arrears on preference shares, requiring a further £3780, and leaving a carry-forward of £1057. The report states that stocks are substantially increased com-' pared with the previous year, £241,941 against £194,289.
