ADVANCE SLOWS UP
BRITISH FORCE IN BURMA Recd. 6 p.m. London, March 5. A British United Press correspondent on the Burma front reports that the British advance has been slowing up for the past three weeks. Baa weather is likely further to impede progress. The showers which usually precede the heavy rains have been increasing. The Allies’ preoccupation with the Mediterranean has involved the use there of the transports and warships needed for large-scale attacks against Burma. Sporadic disturbances in India also have affected the Burma Wmpaign.
