DAILY INTERCESSION

“Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mevey.”

O God, be very near to all who in any way are serving or suffering in these days of conflict and death. Be with those who are daily facing danger in battle, and all who minister to them in body or soul. We thank Thee for those who maintain long and wearying vigil on the trade routes of the world, and pray that Thy protecting care may be ever about them. We remember, too, before Thee those who day and night face the lurking dangers of the deep to bring food and the means of deliverance to our Empire and its Allies. Lord, remember in Thy mercy “the brave hearts on yon dim waters rocked.” Grant that to us all loyalty may be a higher and a holier thing as we are united in a common suffering and a common hope. Amen.
