“HE SAVED BRITAIN”
TRIBUTE TO CHURCHILL (Recd. 6 p.m.) Rugby, Feb. 28. The feeling of relief throughout the Empire at Mr. Churchill’s maintained progress is reflected in a broadcast by Dr. Evatt, the Australian Minister of External Affairs. “It can be fairly said of Mr. Churchill,” he said, "that he saved Britain. It is. true also that he belongs not only to Britain and the Commonwealth but to all the United Nations. His plans cover them, he is spokesman for them, and his wisdom and authority are extended for the common cause everywhere in the world.”—B.O.W.
