POTATO PRICES

MARCH-JUNE ORDER ISSUED (P A.) Wellington, March 1. The Price Tribunal has issued ar order governing the sale of both North and South Island main crop potatoes for the period March to June inclusive. The order, which is based on an agreement reached between the Minister of Agriculture and Potato Advisory Committee, follows closely on the previous order and provides for a maximum retail price of lid per lb. in districts in Canterbury and Otago, 2d per lb. in Auckland, Wellington. New Plymouth. Wanganui, Napier, Gisborne. Picton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth, Westport and Hokitika, and 2ld per lb. elsewhere in New Zealand.

A further period from July to November inclusive will be covered in subsequent amendments to this order.
