RETURN TO NEW ZEALAND
AIR COMMODORE ISITT Wellington, Feb. 26. After an absence of almost exactly three years, Air Commodore L. M. Isitt, C.8.E.. has returned to New Zealand for duty with the R.N.Z.A.F. Air Commodore Isitt recently relinquished the post of officer commanding R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters, London. On his way to New Zealand he visited air bases in the Pacific, and on arrival at Wellington was met by the Chief of Air Staff. Air Commodore R. V. Goddard C.B.E. Air Commodore Isitt was promoted to his present rank in May last year. In March, 1940. he went to Canada as representative of the New Zealand Government on the supervisory board set up to administer the Empire air training scheme in that country, and subseouently was sent as air attache to the New Zealand Legation at Washington when Mr. Nash was appointed Minister there. 'From Washington he went to London as the first officer to command R.N.Z.A.F. Headquarters. His position there has been filled by Air Commodore A. de T. Nellie, C.B.E.
