WIN FOR ALOHA
WANGANUI SAILING CLUB Sailed by B. and C. Armit the Aloha, starting from scratch, won the Wanganui Sailing Club’s race on Saturday when fine conditions prevailed. Rosalie (M. Wall and W. Grant) ■ailed into second place after also ■tartin;x off from scratch, Ind Jeannette (M. Buller and L. Kerwin), off five minutes, was third. Bluebird (J. Donaldson and R. Smith), starting off ten minutes, hit the rock wall in the first lap and sprung a leak, having to retire. Fastest time was clocked by Aloha, Ihr. 23min., Rosalie, Ihr. 23 min. 15 •ec., being second, and Jeannette, Ihr. Simin. 30sec., third. The race was the second event for the Kelly Cup series of seven races, and the leader is Aloha with seven points, Jeannette having five points, Rosalie three, and Bluebird one.
