U.S. PLANE PRODUCTION
TO BE INVESTIGATED Washington, Feb. 16. The chairman. Senator Truman, announced that the Senate War Investigating Committee will investigate plane construction at the Ford Willow Run and Curtiss-Wright aeroplane plants because “there is virtually no production at either plant.”
The Office of War Information reported that the Willow Run plant is operating a small fraction of the ultimate potential, but that it might reach peak production within a year.
