SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
WANGANUI EDUCATION DISTRICT CERTIFICATE LIST The beautifying of school grounds is a featwe which receives 1 ? close attention of the Wanganui Location Board. It was reported at the monthly meeting of the board yesterday by the senior inspector, Mr. B. N. T. Blake, that the following schools had been recommended for environment certificates for 1942:—Alton, Apiti, Aramoho, Bell’s Junction, Bulls, Castlecliff. Clydesdale, Durie Hill, Foxton. Glen Oroua, Gonville, Hunterville, Intermediate (Wanganui), Kairanga, Kakahi, Kak-aramea, Kakariki, Keith Street, Kohi, Kopane, Makakahi Road, Mangaweka, Mangawhio, Manunui, Marohema, Manutahi, Marton D.H.S., Marton Junction, Mataroa, Mosston, Maungaroa Road, Ngamatea, Ngutuwera, Ohakea, Okoia, Omatane, Orangimea, Orangipongo, Owhango, Pakihikura, Parewan’ui, Patea, Pukeroa, Queen’s Park, Raetihi, Rangiwahia, Rapanui, Rataiti, Raumai Rewa, Rongotea, Ruahine, Rongoiti Sanson, South Makirikiri, St. John’s Hill, Taihape D.H.S., Taikorea, Taonui, Tapuae, Tawhero, Tokorangi, Tunanui Road Turakina, Turangaarere, Utiku, Waitotara, Wangaehu, East. Western Rangitikei, Westmere, Whakarongo. Whenuakura. New certificates are to be issued to Hauwai, Ore Ore, and Tangimoana schools.
Letters of commendation are to be forwarded to the following schools:— Deniair, Fordell, Halcombe, Kai Iwi, Kaitieke. Kakatahi. Kaitoke, Mangamahu Mangatepop'\ Okirae. Otairi, Otamakapua, Pananui Junction, Pukawa, Tawata. Waitahinga.
