INTERCHANGE DESIRABLE
(Recd. 6.45 p.m.) Melbourne, Feb. 3. Speaking at a civic reception to Mr. Justice Davis, Canadian High Commissioner to Australia, Sir John Latham. Chief Justice of the High Court, said he looked frward to the day when it would be regarded as an important element in Australian politics to develop communications, which meant transport between the Dominions. He hoped that some day there would would be an Australian Government which would not hesitate to subsidise steamshin lines to South Africa. Canada, and New Zealand so that there could be a ready interchange of people, ideals and ideas.
