MORE GIFT PARCELS WANTED IN WANGANUI
1/ Wanganui is to maintain its record of having exceeded its quota of parcels for men serving overseas a further 206 parcels will have to be left at the City Council Chambers as soon as possible. The honorary secretary of Zone C controlling committee, which comprises Wanganui City and the counties of Wanganui and Waitotara. is making an urgent appeal to the people in this zone to fill the present quota. The parcels are greatly appreciated by the men who rely on those back on the home front to see that their requirements are not overlooked. One Wanganui woman who forwarded an unaddressed parcel received an acknowledgment in which the writer expressed his thanks and pointed out how much the mon looked forward to the arrival of the parcels. The cost of a parcel is 7s. The total amount required for the 206 parcels is £72 2s,
