WELLINGTON GAS YEAR. The account of tho Wellington Gas Company for the year ended December 31 show a net profit of £19,532, compared with £24,724 in the previous year, and £22,191 in 1940. The available balance is £23,618. and the 3 per cent . final dividend, makinß 6 per cent, for the year against 7 per cent, last year, required £8364, leaving £15,254 to be carried forward against £16,255 brought in. DIVIDENDS DECLARED. The Southland Frozen Meat Co., Ltd., has declared a final dividend of 8d on preference and ordinary Bhares, making 6 2-3 per cent, for the year, an unchanged rate, payable on March 1. Transfer booka will be cloned from February 11 to February 17, inclusive. The Queensland National Bank, Limited, has declared an interim dividend for the half-year ended December 31 at the rate of 4 per cent, per annum, on the paid-up capital, payable on February 18 to shareholders on the register at close of businefls on February 11 to February 17, both days, inclusive. An interim dividend of 3 per cent, for the half-year ended December 31 is to be paid by Elder Smith on March 1. Transfer books will be closed from February 17 to March 1, irclusive.

The directora of Smith and Smith, Ltd., have declared a preference dividend of 2J per cent, for the half-year ending January 31, and payable on that date, lew» Social and National Security taxation.
