TRANSPORT LICENSING
WANGANUI CASES HEARD MISCELLANEOUS APPLICATIONS ‘‘l have no objection, but I shall have to inquire in Wellington as to the procedure and in the meantime decision is reserved,’’ said the No. 2 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr. J, P. O. Skoglund) when M. J. Springer an-'lied at a sitting in Wan ganui vesterday for a licence to carrv prsseneers from Waiouru to Wanganui twice a month. Mr. E. W. F. Gohns, who appeared in support of the application, said Springer was a Public Works Department contractor who came home twice a month and brought other workmen with him. These men were prepared to pay for the trip and the proposed return fare was 10s. It had been suggested that Springer make application for the licence, which would enable him to carry “V” plates.
