CHARGE OF THEFT
FURTHER CASE AT DUNEDIN £P-A.) Dunedin, Jan. 27. In the Police Court this morning, before Mr. J. R. Bartholomew, S.M.. Donald Stuart Maclean was charged with the theft of £65 12s lid in circumstances which, said Detective-Ser-geant Hall, were similar to those for which nine other employees of the Army Department had been previously charged. Maclean was remanded until Friday next, bail being fixed in a sum of £25 with one surety of £25. Detective-Sergeant Hall said he understood that certain of the accused, would be pleading not guilty, but that the police would be ready to nroceed with the prosecutions in at least some of the cases on Friday.
