His handling of the supply of hot meals to the company when out on manoeuvres was marvellous, and it had been said that one could, almost set one’s watch by the punctuality of his hot tea trailer making the rounds of the defence posts. On behalf of the members of the company Captain Denbow then presented the guest with a well-filled wallet and also an illuminated address autographed by the members of B Company. C.Q.M.S. McNab, in reply, said he was very sorry to have to sever relations with the old company. His association with the officers and men had always been a happy one, and when he saw the keenness of <he chaps in B Company it was always an incentive for him to do his best. In thanking the members for their presentation he said it would always be a reminder of the pleasant days he snent with B Company of Marton H.Q. Battalion. He particularly wished to ihank Clem Hill, who had been his “off-sider” and had proved a tower of strength. Songs and elocutionary items were rendered by R. Williams, A. J. Petrie. N. Crabb and K. CIVIC THEATRE, MARTON Screening at the Civic Theatre, to-night, “Dangerous Moonlight, ’ dramatic British film starring Anton Walbrook, is the story of a talented Polish pianist who interrupts a successful concert tour in America, and leaves the girl he loves, so that he can go to England and fight for his country in the Polish Air Force. The audience is taken right behind the scenes of a froni-line air station in England, during the time of the all-out German air blitz, and the film, with its tensely revealing shots of Britain’s dare-devil fighter-pilots, shows the reason why it failed so dismally.
