GEN. FREYBERG EXPRESSES APPRECIATION

• u . Wellington, Jan. 4. Advice has been received by the Prime Minister, the Hon. p. Fraser, from Lt.-General B. C. Freyberg that his Christinas message in the name of the people of New Zealand was published as a special order.

The message,” says General Freyberg in a cable to Mr. Fraser, “has been received with deep appreciation and very real pleasure by all ranks, on whose behalf I wish to thank vou most sincerely. May you be granted continued good health and strength to .ead our country in the difficult days still ahead.”
