TEMPERATURES AT NIGHT A sharp drop in night temperatures was experienced in Wanganui 0,. Saturday and Sunday, following . southerly breeze. In Aramoho an Wanganui East light frosts, sufficien to blacken young pumpkin plank., were experienced. The minimum temperature recorded at the Wanganui City Council': meteorological station on Saturday night and early Sunday morning was 44.1 Fahr. The light southerly continued throughout Sunday, thoug. day temperatures were warm, with the result that another cold night followed, the maximum temperature being 44 degrees. The maximum day temperature recorded on Saturday was 65.5 degree a.t.i on Sunday it was 65.6 degree. These records do not convey a tri.impression of day temperatures, hoover. In areas sheltered from tl-. Wind the atmosphere was very warm, some thermometers registering a high as 75 degrees. Wanganui has experienced perfe< i summer weather since the Sunda. following Christmas. On New Year Eve the maximum day temperature was 74.5 degrees.
