GRIT PUTS SUTCLIFFE OUT OF ARMY
London, Nov. 26. A piece of grit, blown from an Australian cricket pitch into Herbert Sutcliffe’s eye while he was batting nine years ago, has helped to put him out of the Army; Sutcliffe, who was a major, has beer, invalided out of the Royal Army Ordnance Corps. He will probably join a paper manufacturing firm. The grit lodged near the bridge of the nose, and Sutcliffe has already undergone two operations.
