ST. JOHN’S CLUB Another enjoyable tournament was held at St. John’s green on Saturday, twelve teams taking part. The winners were Allen. Richardson, W. Brown and A. Pepper, who won all five games played. There were three teams with only one loss. The rain in the early morning affected the attendance, but the match committee’s early decision to commence play at 9.30 proved them to be good weather prophets, as excellent conditions prevailed once play commenced. Several members also participated in an afternoon's “rollup.”

Many members being away on holiday there was only a small attendance at the Wanganui East Bowling Club’s green last Saturday, when practice games were played.
