ENEMY SUPPLY SHIPS SUNK
Rugby, Jan. 1. An Admiralty communique states that British submarines in the Mediterranean have sunk two more large enemy ships off the Gulf of Tunis. Another submarine attacked an enemy destroyer escorting a large enemy supply ship off Bizerta. A torpedo hit was scored, and although the result of this attack could not he corroborated the destroyer was not seen or heard of again and is thought to have been sunk.—B.O.W.
