ANNIHILATION!

THREAT IN SERBIA. London. A reoprt received by the Yugoslav Government in London shows tne extent of the uneasiness of the German military command in occupied Serbia. At a conference in Belgrade at the beginning of August, at which several hundred civic representatives were present. General Turner, military commander of occupied Serbia, said:— Every Serb should be aware of the fact that if the German military command is compelled to use one more soldier than the present occupying force for the suppression of the disorders, this will mean annihilation of Serbia. This warning of mine does not come as a threat, but is only the statement of an evident fact. The disorders and infringement of the existing order of things will undoubtedly cause us loss of valuable time, but it will never prevent us from accomplishing our task. As regards Serbia, this would mean a deadly peril for her and ultimate downfall. As a precautionary measure, several hundred Serbian boys between the ages of 16 and 19 have been sent to concentration camps or deported to “safety areas ”
