N.Z. TORPEDO-BOMBER SQUADRON | London, Dec. 30. The New Zealand Hampden torpedo-bomber squadron sank' another German supply ship off Stadtlandet, Norway, on December 29, bringing their total up to nine" One of the aircraft was piloted by the former Wimbledon tennis player, Flight-Lieutenant A. J. Mxtram, whose crew included Fligbt-Ser-geants F. McPherson! Rotorua! and E. A. Hurley (New Plymouw). A . second aircraft was captained by a • Danish pilot, whose crew included Sergeant D. E. Nelson (Masterton). They sighted a ccSi’oy of three Supply ships accompanied by fon r flak ships, and attacked the biggeft ship. Thev encountered fierce anti-hreraft fire, and then, after droppity torpedoes, entered low clouds, feturning after some minutes, they s*v the ship with -its bows pointing the shore and almost hidden by a Court ot smoke. Flak hit the Danish : pilot’s ship, but it reached its base solely.
