Isitt as Air Officer Commanding R.N.Z.A.F. headquarters in London on December 23 and that the latter officer was returning to New Zealand for duty with the R.N.Z.A.F. Mr. Jones remarked that Air Commodore Isitt had been in England for the past six months, during which he had close experience in all aspects ol air operations and Royal Air Force administration under war conditions. Also he had taken a leading part in negotiations on the recent revision of the British Commonwealth air training plan and also in the setting up of the new R.N.Z.A.F. headquarters in London. subjects,” said Wing-Commander Nicholls. “Flying training is in itself very arduous, and it is not the time for a young man to be studying mathematics and other subjects which he then finds necessary. His time should all be available for flying practice and other technical work. “The world over, young men of every nation are studying the sameproblems. Whether the language used is English, Chinese, German or Japanese. the problems are the same. The thoroughness of our training will be the deciding factor as to which is the better man when the day of battle comes. We hope and pray that th''cadets we are training to-day will noT be needed in battle, but we cannot afford to take chances. The training must go on if we are to guarantee future air superiority.”
