Provided Waverley residents make suitable arrangements for the carrying on of a maternity home and obtain a suitable person to manag-e it. the Patea Hospital Board agreed at its monthly meeting to grant a subsidy up to £250 a year towards its cost. The decision was reached after a deputation, consisting of Messrs. Jackson and Belton, waited on the board in regard to the continuance of the home. _____
