Our redeeming God, who in Thy ei Son Jesus Christ didst reveal not only 1 Thyself but the perfect Man, Thine 1 own ideal for men, grant to us all a i vision of our own selfishness, pre- - judice, and complacency, and our need f for Thy forgiveness for the sins that - mar our own individual and social life. ■ Enable us by Thy Spirit to bring life ' under Thy control, that being deliver- ■ ed from the lust of the flesh, the lust ■ of the eyes, and the vainglory of life, 5 we may* be of use in the building up of Thine own righteous government; • through Jesus Christ our Lord.
