KILLED IN ACTION
CORPORAL COLIN MCCARTHY Lance-Corporal R. C. (Colin) McCarthy, Second N.Z.E.F., who is reported killed in action in Libya, is the second son of Mrs. C. McCarthy, Campbell Street, Wanganui, to lose his life on active service this year. His younger brother, Pilot-Officer M. D. McCarthy was killed while ‘on bombing operations over Germany early this year. Another brother, Sergeant-Pilot L. B. McCarthy, is a prisoner of war in Germany, and Mrs. McCarthy's eldest son, Squadron-Leader R. w. McCarthy is still on active service overseas. Lance-Corporal R. C. McCarthy enlisted shortly after the outbreak of war and went overseas more than two years ago. He fought in Greece and Libya.
