Dennison, Tippins, Burns 19; Robertson, Ellis, M. Stewart, Fletcher 17 v. Gray, Curtis, Boswell, Gaunt 19; Fear, Bradshaw, Beauchamp, Raine 20 v. Carmody, Munro, Dempster, McKessar 23. HANDLEY BANNER MATCH CLOSE GAME AT WAITOTARA The Waitotara Bowling Club succeeded in retaining the Handley Banner in a match played at Waitotara on Saturday afternoon against a team from the Waverley Club. The game was very close and keenly contested. With one head to play, Waverley led 19-18, and on the last head they were lying 4 up when the Waitotara skip, with his last bowl, played a slide-off shot which came to rest alongside the kitty, the game resulting in a draw. Details are as follows: H. J. Olsen, W. A. Hurley, G. H. Alexander, J. G. Verry (Waitotara) 19, v. F. Stewart, G. Aiken, W. Fitzgibbon, R. J. Howie (Waverley) 19.
