CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE DELEGATES

GUESTS OF SAVAGE CLUB Delegates attending the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce of New Zealand, which is being held in Wanganui this week, were the guests of the Wanganui Savage Club at a korero last night. There was a large attendance ot delegates, their wives and friends, and members of the Savage Club. Captain S. Holm (Wellington) was installed as Chief Savage by Rangatira Eric Lind. After the proclamation a bright concert programme was staged. At 9 o'clock a minute's silence was observed in honour of those who had gone overseas. After the “kai” adjournment, Captain Holm thanked the Savage Chub for a most enjoyable evening and expressed the opinion that it was one of the finest clubs of its kind that he had visited. Those contributing to the concert programme were Messrs. J. D. Tizard, F. Killeen. S. Kidd, A. J. W. Hodder. E. R. Dobbs, E. Lind, Burgess, F. Wilkie, A. J. Pritchard, R. Tulloch, Garth and Dunn.
