LABOUR DAY TOURNEY

WANGANUI GOLF CLUB Commencing on Saturday, October 24, the Wanganui Golf Club are to stage a three-day golf tournament. The opening day’s play will comprise a qualifying round and stroke match, IS holes, of three flights—Spitfire, Hurricane and Kittyhawk—for which gross scores qualify. Match play will be on handicap. On the second day, October 25. first and second rounds, flight handicaps, bogey points and Stableford matches will be played. Semi-finals and finals, flight handicaps, bogey points and Stableford games will be decided on the third and final day. All games will be played under the usual tournament conditions. Post entries will be accepted, but players should hand in their names as soon as possible in order to facilitate the catering arrangements.
