HUGE U.S. MOBILISATION
New York, Sept. 20. The Director of Selective Service, Major-General Hershey, in an interview, said that over 10,000,000 Americans will be under arms at the end of 1943. The U.S. army at present numbered 4,500,000. This did not include the navy or the Marine Corps. He added that the entire supply ot serviceable single men would be exhausted this autumn and therefore married men would be called up in December,
