INJURED IN CAR CRASH

SOLDIER AND HOME GUARDSMAN (P.A.) Carterton, Sept. 21. A serious motor-car accident occurred at 2.30 this morning, when two men, Gunner R. D. Wilson, aged 26. and Henry Ihais Hutana, a Home Guardsman, of Porangahau. about the same age, were travelling from Waipukurau to the Wellington district. Hutana was driving the car, which crashed into an electric power pole. Both men were injured, Wilson seriously, and were admitted to Greytown Hospital. Inquiries to-day give Wilson’s condition as critical, with severe head injuries. Hutana suffered facial abrasions and shock.
