REGENT THEATRE
One of the best double lea lure programmes seen in Wanganui for a considerable time commences at the Regent Theatre to-day. The main feature, “Two Latins in Manhattan," is a delightful and gay musical comedy introducing several new song hits and dances. A splendid cast is headed by Joan Davis. The associate feature, "Hurricane Smith," is a remarkable and deeply stirring story of one man s light for "justice in a ’ world aligned against him. Although far from being a cowboy picture, the film does take the West for a colourful background. As Hurricane Smith, the title character, Middleton is seen as a rodeo cowboy who is framed by two gangsters, “Eggs” Bonelli and Sam Carson, who accuse him of a murder which they themselves have committed. Smith is found guilty in court, and sentenced to die. The subsequent events make for a thrilling climax.
