FOR CHRISTIANS IN THE ARMED FORCES. Almighty God, we pray for all Thy sons and daughters now serving with the armed forces. Deliver them from any false pride or exclusiveness of spirit, and enable them to take their full share not only in duties laid upon them, but in every activity designed to meet the needs of the whole man, body, soul, and spirit. As those who know their own weakness, may they —privately and in common—avail themselves of every means of grace; strengthened by the Word of God, Sacrament and Prayer may they through witness and service extend Thy kingdom in the lives of tehir fel-low-men. Grant that all who profess the Name of Christ may give of their very best to their varied services, and then by word and action commend Jesus Christ as the Saviour of the world and the Lord of all life; we ask it. for. His sake. Amen. ,
