MAGISTRATE’S COURT AT TAIHAPE (0.C.) Taihape, April 22. Aiding in the commission of the offence of supplying for consumption off licensed premises was the charge preferred against 12 soldiers in tne Taihape Magistrate’s Court. Mr. A. Five soldiers were fined £3 (costs 10s) for being in possession of liquor near a dance hall. Para Wereta was charged with being intoxicated while in charge of a motor-car and with supplying four bottles of beer to a Maori. For being intoxicated in charge of a car he was lined £lO and costs and his licence cancelled tor 12 months, and to pay doctor’s fee of £1 Is. On the second charge Wereta was fined £5. For failing to report a motor-lorry accident involving personal injury, Robert Fairclough was convicted and lined £5. Defendant, was driving to Waiouru and failed to take a corner, with the result that the lorry went over a bank.
