In ’his war the ■ award of the D.S.O. was made for ser- ; vices in Greece and that of a bar to : the D.S.O. for gallantry in Libya. when he had command of a supple column which took essential ammunition and provisions to the Neu Ze landers at Sidi Rezegh during a critical phase of the battle. The award was an immediate one.
