FIRST DAY’S RESI LTS. Two records were broken at the first day's sports of the Wanganui Collegiate School, held on Saturday afternoon on the school ground. In throwing the cricket ball (under 15). C. M. Graham recorded 75 yards 1 foot 10 inches, and in the long jump (under 14), D. A. Farquhar registered 16 feet 9 inches. Fine weather prevailed and there was a large attendance of parents and friends. The sports will be continued to-day. Saturday’s results were: Throwing the cricket ball, under 16: D. G. Cameron 1.
