INDEPENDENCE FOR INDIA
AMERICAN REPORT New York. March 20 According to the Christian Science Monitor, genuine independence will be offered to India, without reservation or escape clauses. The newspaper adds that with the consent of British officials the United States is acting to strengthen Sii Stafford Cripps' mission in order to rally India solidly behind the Allied war effort.
