In the 24 ‘hours ending last evening there were three alerts -one at night and two during the day. Anti-aircraft fire destroyed one Junkers 88 and damaged another, and the R.A.F. destroyed a Messerschmitt 109 and damaged one bomber. No military damage was caused, but there was some damage to civilian property and some civilians were killed or injured.—B.O.W.
