Mrs. Mitchell was appoinleu . recording delegate and Mrs. Pye as ) voting delegate at the federation - meeting. ft was announced that Mrs. Gould had be- n remmated as president :or the jo.-incon: ing Federation Council meeiing in Aj.id and Mrs Wells as a committee member. “Keep your temper, nobody else wants it,” was the motto for the month. Members are asked to bring parcels of silk or cotton rags to tne next meeting, for the appeal. Further parcels were sent through Zone C Committee. Three letters were read from soldiers serving overseas who had received Institute parcels. Mrs. Gouic. took the chair after the annual report had been read and the treasurer's report had been adopted. Mrs. Mitchell, retiring secretary, and Mrs. Clemenston, treasurer, were congratulated on their reports. Mrs. K. Wells was reelected president unopposed. Those elected Io the committee were: Mesdames Noble, Bergen, Percy, Orr, Flyger, Bates, Pye, Armstrong, Walton, Ingram, Upchurch, Clemenston, Benefield, Coe, Smith. Mrs. F. H. Uttley, press reporter, was thanked for her services. Mrs. Uttley has joined the Westbourne In- . stitute. The singing circle sang numbers 5 during the election. Mrs. H. West was leader and Mrs. Breton accompanist. The singing circle has been invited to give items al the forthcoming fed- ■ oration meeting and the drama circle ,1 has been askd to assist with a play. Sprays made by the gardening circle were presented to Mesdames Gould. . Wells, Mitchell, West, and Breton. A competition for jellied beetroot was won by Mrs. Smith.
