RAETIHI Mr. C. J. McHattie, of Wellington, is at. present in Raetihi. Mr. Ralph Pearce was a recent Raetihi visitor to Wanganui. Mr. R. B. Oliver was home for the week-end. Miss Marjorie Journeaux has commenced du;-_’s on the staff of the local post office. A men's choir has just been commenced under the jurisdiction of Mr. D. S. Ogden at St. Mary's Anglican Church. The Women's War Service Auxiliary are holding their first military drill parade to-night at 7.15 p.m. All members of the W.W.S.A. are expected to be present. The Red Cross section of the E.P.S. have commenced classes. Miss Hazel Geraghty, formerly exchange clerk of Raetihi, has been transferred to a similar position at Ohakune. Mr. T. Duggan, of the P. and T. staff, Raetihi. is temporarily at Ohakune while Mr. E. W. Watson is relieving at Ohakune Junction during Mr. Elliot’s illness. In view of her approaching marriage at Easter, Miss G. Hussey, of Ohakune, was presented with a Holy picture, "Our Lady oi the Rosary, by the Children of Mary, to which f’criaiilv Miss Hussey is a member. The presentation was made at her residence, where a dainty afternoon lea v..u served and a very pleasant time spent-
